Watsonia Baseball Club is committed to promotion and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people involved in our activities. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are dedicated to ensuring that our environment is safe, supportive and respectful.
Child safe policies and procedures
We have implemented comprehensive child safe policies and procedures that align with Child Safe Standards. These documents outline our commitment to child safety and the measures we have in place to protect children.
Education and Training
We provide regular education and training for volunteers to ensure they understand their responsibilities under the Child Safe Standards and are equipped to protect children from abuse. All committee members have completed 11 Child Safety Modules.
Reporting and Responding
We have clear procedures for reporting and responding to allegations of child abuse to ensure any concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
Child Participation
We encourage children to express their views and participate in decisions that affect them. We listen to their concerns and take them seriously.
Risk Management
