I heard I need a valid Volunteers Working with Childrens Check to play baseball even though I’m not coaching kids. Is this correct?

Yes. Kids under 18 years old play seniors too and Baseball Victoria have introduced this as part of the Child Safe Policy in sport. Please refer to the following link: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children

At a senior level we are an A grade club but also have teams in D & D reserve grade.

Absolutely. We have many female athletes who play in our A grade sides (the ‘mens’ competition) right through to the D grades. They have a history of being Victorian and Australian representatives. We have girls playing in our junior sides too.

Are there specialist coaches on board to help junior baseball athletes improve their game?

We offer specialist coaching for junior players via our A grade seniors, including players from the Melbourne Aces.
